An internet connection will not be required to play offline Xbox One games – After a one-time system set-up with a new Xbox One, you can play any disc based game without ever connecting online again. There is no 24 hour connection requirement and you can take your Xbox One anywhere you want and play your games, just like on Xbox 360.

Trade-in, lend, resell, gift, and rent disc based games just like you do today – There will be no limitations to using and sharing games, it will work just as it does today on Xbox 360.

In addition to buying a disc from a retailer, you can also download games from Xbox Live on day of release. If you choose to download your games, you will be able to play them offline just like you do today. Xbox One games will be playable on any Xbox One console -- there will be no regional restrictions.

These changes will impact some of the scenarios we previously announced for Xbox One. The sharing of games will work as it does today, you will simply share the disc. Downloaded titles cannot be shared or resold. Also, similar to today, playing disc based games will require that the disc be in the tray.

Q: When will Xbox One launch and in what markets?

Q: Can I use my current gamertag on Xbox One and will my Gamerscore and Achievements transfer?

Q: Will Xbox One be backward compatible with my existing games?

Q: Will my current Xbox Live Gold membership work with Xbox One or will I have to buy a new one?
A: You do not need to buy a new Xbox Live Gold membership. Your current membership will work on both Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

Q: Why require Kinect with every Xbox One?
A: The all new Kinect is now an essential and integrated part of the platform. By having it as a consistent part of every Xbox One, game and entertainment creators can build experiences that assume the availability of voice, gesture and natural sensing, leading to unrivaled ease of use, premium experiences and interactivity for you.

Q: Do I need to have a specific cable or satellite TV provider to watch live TV on Xbox?
A: Our goal is to enable live TV through Xbox One in every way that it is delivered throughout the world, whether that’s television service providers, over the air or over the Internet, or HDMI-in via a set top box (as is the case with many providers in the US). The delivery of TV is complex and we are working through the many technologies and policies around the world to make live TV available where Xbox One is available.

ברור שאתה עדיין חושב. מבחינתך זה בכלל לא משנה כי אתה לא תרכוש אקס בוקס. עצוב שמיעוט דפקו אפשרות שיתוף מטורפת של משחקים ומכריחים אותי להכניס את הפאקינג דיסק כל הזמן כשאני רוצה לשחק במשחק שכבר מותקן לי על ההארד דיסק. כן, עצוב, מאוד.

אני בהלם,מי היה מאמין שדבר כזה יכול לקרות!?
הייתי סקרן לדעת האם כל המחאות כלפי הקונסולה זה סכ״ה רעש של אינטרנט או משהו עם השלכות בעולם האמיתי וכנראה שמייק היום סיפקה לנו תשובה,אני בטוח שיש להם נתונים בין אם במכירות מוקדמות או בסקרים שהצביעו להם על כך שהקונסולה הולכת להיפגע בצורה מהותית.
ועדיין לא ציפיתי שיהיה להם את האומץ לסגת ככה,חשבתי שהם באים עם הביטחון התאגידי הזה של אחת החברות הגדולות בעולם שהולכת לשנות סדרי עולם אבל כנראה שהם הקדימו את המועד בכמה שנים טובות לדעת השוק.

מי שהחליט על כל המדיניות הזו מלחתכילה צריך לעוף על טיל,כמה נזק PR עצום הוא גרם! איזו חובבנות.

אם אנחנו הולכים לראות הורדה של כל הפיצ'ר החדשים זה הולך להיות המסע צלב האינטרנטי הזועם הכי מדכא בהיסטוריה.

ממש לא יהיה מסע צלב,מייק גרמה לעצמה נזק ענק בחודשים האחרונים,נזק שמסתבר שהיה עם השלכות אמיתיות גם בעולם שמחוץ לנאו גף,אם לא היתה ברירה אז הדבר הנכון זה לסגת ולא להתרסק לתוך ההר כפי שבטח הנתונים הצביעו להם.
ברור שעדיף היה מלחתכילה לא ללכת על המדיניות ההיא,אבל עדיף לסגת ולהציל מעט מן הכבוד ולקבל מעט אמון מאשר לדבוק בעקשנות במשהו שהולך להכשיל אותם.

ולמה מה שהוא הדביק זה עצוב?
לא ראיתי שהודיעו על ביטול תוכנית המשפחה שזה ההיילייט הכי גדול,תחשוב על תוכנית משפחה בלי הגבלות DRM,זה יתרון ענק על סוני שאוכל את ה 100 דולר הפרש להרבה אנשים.
